Going into business with my husband 2 days after we were married when I was in my late teens, I know the value of my clients and listening to what they want to achieve.
Even before I started my own real estate business, I had decided that this crazy, hectic, yet exciting career – matching homes to owners – was where I could put my skills and caring nature to best use.
As owner and Principal of award winning real estate agencies, House 2 Home Real Estate and Jacobs Well District Realty, servicing areas such as Ormeau, Ormeau Hills & surrounding areas, myself and team have now joined the national franchise team at LJ Hooker Property Hub. This will allow me to get back to what I love doing which is matching buyers to properties and helping sellers move onto their next adventure. I’ve loved and thrived in this industry since 1999 and won many awards including best agent in Ormeau.
Early in my career I learnt that I needed to treat each property sale individually and that each one would provide a new set of challenges. I recognise that each home seller has a different set of concerns, hopes and lifestyle aspirations. Therefore, my job is to listen, and then come up with the best set of solutions for each client. I enjoy working in a consultative team with my home seller clientele to achieve their ultimate goals.
In fact, I’m now excited, to help many lifelong clients who are now transitioning to different styles of properties as they up size with a growing family or downsize as their lifestyle needs change.
What’s stood me apart from other agents, I believe, is my ability to empathise and understand that a home sale is often a trying and emotionally charged time, where there are so many thoughts and emotions for not just the owners, but for the whole family. Having my own children and now grandchildren I understand the trials and tribulations associated with raising a family and securing not only your future but also theirs.
My team and I, go to great lengths to help our clients, from weeding a garden before a photo shoot to de-cluttering and bringing in the finishing touches (sometimes from our own homes) to recommending renovations that will help clients achieve a top sale price. We ensure that our home sellers receive daily updates on the progress of their sales campaign. Our aim is to surpass expectations and shatter street records along the way.
My team is as committed to excellence as I am. They’re always on hand to help out in an ‘emergency’, which could be anything from supporting a retiree with tidying up a house before a home open day to getting out the gurney to clean paths.
